Time of change for your body

Time of change for your body.

Remember well, your body is an aamaanah. It does not belong to you. So take care of yourself.

  • Avocados are high in monounsaturated fat, reversing fat deposit in the belly.
  • Whole grain pasta is loaded with B vitamins.
  • You only have until age 35 to build bone. 1000 mg of calcium is needed daily.
  • People feel more stressed in their 20s than they do at any other period in life probably because it’s a time of change.
  • Eating broccoli can help prevent wrinkles.
  • Potatoes have more potassium than bananas. Potatoes help fight heart disease by keeping blood pressure low.
  • Eat salmon twice a week for omega-3-fatty acids. Sardines are also an excellent source of omega-3s.
  • Spinach is high in vitamin K, calcium, magnesium, folate.
  • To prevent birth defects in pregnancy, there needs to be a high intake of folate in the diet. A pregnant woman needs 450 mg of folate a day. A large egg has 125 mg.**

**Perfectly reminds me of this fact, “One egg contains a staggering 220 milligrams of cholesterol, which clogs your arteries and leads to heart disease.” Absolutely not intended to discourage you, but don’t devour 3 or 4 eggs on a daily basis, every other day – more or less, one should suffice. Eat meat, it has plenty of fat. You also need the iron, anyway!
